Milan is the economic and cultural capital of modern Italy, and two of the mainstays of this diverse cultural experience are fashion and football.
The shops and fashion outlets of Milan are legendary and some of the worlds most extravagant and decadent fashion houses can be found on the Via Montenapoleone. This one street boasts the atelier showrooms of Gucci, Versace, Prada, Luis Vuitton and Cartier to name just a few.
For those of us who aren’t Premier league footballers or their WAGs Milan also has a more affordable selection of top quality shops in and around the centre of this exciting city. Dedicated shopping streets to rival any in the world can be found at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Buenos Aires, di Porta Ticinese and Via Torino.
You can not escape the shops even on a Sunday, Seravalle designer outlet village is a unique monument to Milans shopping obsession, built in the typical Ligurian-Piedmont style of the region it has more than 170 shops selling designer names
