• Information provided in this brochure is subject to change. Full details of your holiday will be confirmed when all arrangements are booked. Travel documents will be forwarded 14 days before departure.
• eRail.co.uk is not financially responsible for any financial loss caused by missed connections. Before boarding a train check departure screens or station staff that you are on the correct service. In the event of delayed or cancelled services the ticket must be endorsed by the train conductor or at the booking office
.
• Remember, you must have a valid passport for each person travelling. eRail.co.uk is not responsible for any financial loss caused by not having necessary passports and/or visas as required.
• Travel insurance specially tailored to rail travellers is now available through Columbus Insurance. In addition to the usual cover, if you incur additional expense where a reasonable train connection is broken this is also provided for, please see details at www.columbusdirect.com quoting reference eRail. If your travel includes EU countries please ensure each traveller carries a current EHIC card or equivalent.
• Cancellation fees are applied as follows:
Up to 30 days before departure = 25%
Up to 20 days before departure = 50%
20 days or less =100%
These charges apply on receipt of written cancellation received by letter, email or fax.
• Amendment fees for change of date is £50 per person (subject to availability), amendments not possible within 20 days before departure.
• Advance bookings. Most trains can only be booked 2-3 months before return travel date. We will hold your reservation, contact you and confirm with an invoice. There is no extra charge for this service.
• Bookings can be made by phone or send an email to holidays@europeanrail.com.
A deposit of £250 per person will be taken when a booking is made or full payment if within 2 months of travel date. Payment is accepted by all major credit and charge cards. If payment is made by credit or charge cards a fee of 3% will apply. No charge is made for debit cards if payment is made by cheque; we require 5 working days clearance before documents can be released. Full payment is due once the complete holiday arrangements are confirmed.
• Late bookings can be made up to 20 days before departure.
• Bookings and prices are made subject to availability. In the case of travel at busy periods e.g. Easter, Christmas, School holidays, often it is only possible to book at higher fares or alternative dates/times. You will be advised at the time of booking.
Problems are best resolved at the time they occur. Contact the hotel owner/manager or the senior conductor/station supervisor if you encounter difficulties. We can only follow up complaints up to 1 month from your return date.
Financial Protection
In accordance with “The Package Travel, Package Tours Regulations 1992” all passengers booking with European Rail Ltd are fully bonded for the initial deposits and subsequently the balance of all monies to us, including repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of the European Rail Ltd.
A certificate detailing this bond will be given to each and every passenger as evidence of cover. Please ensure that you have been given the appropriate certificate(s) at the time of booking. This insurance has been arranged by Towergate Chapman Stevens through igi Insurance Company Limited.
A premium of £10 per person will be added to your invoice.
