Day 1 Afternoon departure from London on the high speed Eurostar train to Paris, then Lyria train to Zurich where you stay overnight at the Xtra hotel by the station. Day 2-3 Stay for 2 nights in St Moritz at the 4 star Baeren. The hotel is one km from the station with a lift to the nearby lake and 15 minutes walk from the town centre. Take a scenic excursion on theBernina Express to Tirano in Italy offering breathtaking vistas from the beautiful 1st and 2nd class Panorama cars (supplement). Day 4-5 Travel on the world famous Glacier Express, the world’s slowest express train including 291 bridges, 91 tunnels the summit at Oberalp pass is 2033 metres through spectacular mountain scenery. Seats are reserved in the new Panorama cars for the best all round view, lunch can be reserved on request for approx £35 each.		Stay for 2 nights at the 3 star superior Hotel Butterfly situated near the station – take the electric taxis as Zermatt is a car free village. The hotel offers easy access to hiking and skiing areas also for excursions on the Gornergrat railway. Day 6 Take the 2.5 hour journey via the new Loetschberg tunnel to Bern, capital ofSwitzerland. Crammed onto a steep-sided peninsula in a crook of the fast-flowing River Aare, its quiet, cobbled lanes, lined with sandstone arcaded buildings straddling the pavement, have barely changed at all in over five hundred years. Stay for 1 night at the 3 star Hotel Metropole 4 minutes walk from the station. Day 7 Leave mid morning travelling via Basel and Paris then by high speed Eurostartrain to arrive London early evening.

Departures Daily throughout the year (except 25 December), extra nights possible at Paris, Zurich, St Moritz, Zermatt and Bern.
